Welcome to Goderich - the town where the sun sets twice on the beautiful shores of Lake Huron.

The port town of Goderich, overlooking the wind-worn shores of Lake Huron, is knows nationwide as the "Prettiest Town in Canada".Goderich is a former national champion and runner up in the world Nations In Bloom contest.

Situated along Ontario's west coast, Goderich offers numerous recreation and leisure activities, including swimming, boating, fishing, skiing, hiking, cycling and golfing. Construction of a YMCA operated, state of the art recreation complex, with an NHL-size arena, swimming pool, walking track and fitness center was completed in 2004.

Goderich is well known for its' distinctive downtown, an octagonal core called "The Square", where streets radiate from the center, also the site of our scenic Courthouse Park.

Stunning trails, offering a breathtaking view of nature and elegantly marked with many heritage sites, criss-cross and surround the town of Goderich. Our vast stretches of beaches are connected by a scenic boardwalk. More than one quarter of Goderich is dedicated to parkland.

Also offered in this historic town are theatres, museums, the town's Carnegie Library, art galleries, the newly constructed Maitland Valley Medical Center, fine dining and so much more.
