Wingham Ontario
Just 25 minutes to the shores of Lake Huron,
Wingham is a unique town, and part of the Township of North Huron, county of Huron, that takes pride in its high quality of rural agricultural lands, its many conservation areas, and public parks.
Located in the North end of Huron County, Wingham is approx. �1 hour from Lake Huron"s Sandy beaches. The close proximity of two major highways London Road (formerly #4) and Amberly Road (formerly #86) offer ideal access to near by cities.
We are the home of one of the earliest radio stations in Southwestern Ont.. CKNX radio was founded in 1926, with a television station to follow in 1955. We continue to grow in this area with recently becoming the "New NX" television station and increasing our radio signal to split between two F.M. stations and one A.M. station.
Wingham area has much to offer in every interest, all year round! For the sports enthusiast, we offer a large ice surface with competitive hockey teams of all ages, indoor pool, squash courts, rec hall, and an exercise gym at the North Huron Wescast Community Complex.
The area also offers excellent fishing, golfing, baseball, soccer, hiking trails, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, and lets not forget our municipal airport.
For the Theatre enthusiasts you will find this area to your utmost liking with many performances held at the Town Hall Heritage Theatre in Wingham, or take a short drive to the town of Blyth and take in Performances at the popular Blyth Festival Theatre.
